About 3 weeks ago on my 16th birthday my parents told me i was adopted should i contact my birth parents?

I was suprised but i did have a few suspisions. My parents told me that my parents were 16 when i was born and my mum couldn't look after me so they had me adopted. I am really angry at them for not telling me sooner. I don't know whether i should get in touch with them as the might not want to meet me and i don't think i can take anymore heartache but i have so many questions to ask them. What should i do?
