I have one unclified misdemeanor on my record. I am 20 years old, what are the odds of me becoming a cop?

In a few more months I will have my ociates degree in criminal justice then i am going to apply to several police academies and see what happens. The charge happened when I was 18 years old, from a car accident that someone (79 year old woman) cut in front of me into my lane (and stopped in my lane with the rear half of her car completely in my lane) in which i had the right of way and caused me to collide into her, and also caused another car to collide into me! She later died in the hospital and I was charged with a traffic offense because my car hit hers...yeah? I live in delaware. I pleaded nolo contendere because It was found to be her fault also. They said I could have slowed down in time if i was going 50mph exact which was the speed limit. I was doing maybe 60, which is normal on that straight away. I think its unfair but it is life. Now this may jeopardize my chances of becoming a trooper...
